The second season of the series Les Accords Parfaits opened on 21 September at the Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa Lausanne. Thanks to the unfailing support of the Vevey Spring Classic, the winner of the 2023 edition of the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition, Magdalene Ho, played with Pierre Génisson, one of the world pre eminent clarinetists. The two artists amazed an enthusiastic audience performing a programme of works by Schumann, Weber and Gershwin.
Les Accords Parfaits continues! On Saturday 30 November, Daniel Müller-Schott will be joined by his younger colleagues for the second of four concerts. Opening the concert with Bach’s Cello Suite No. 3 in C major BWV 1009, the cellist will then let the stage taken by Emmanuel Tjeknavorian (violin) and Annika Treutler (piano) to perform a few romantic pieces for violin and piano. To close the evening, the three artists will present Brahms’s Piano Trio No. 3 in C minor, Op. 101.
Two days prior, Daniel Müller-Schott will be performing at the Musée Jenisch Vevey at 18:30 pm. The Vevey Spring Classic begins an artistic partnership with the Vevey museum which houses the Oskar Kokoschka Foundation. The works of the Austrian painter are often associated with music and his friendships with major composers and performers of the 20th century. Daniel Müller-Schott opens a series of concerts in the museum combining music, painting, history and literature at this cultural mecca on the region of the Riviera. Following the performance of works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Pablo Casals, Daniel Müller-Schott and Wilson Hermanto will take part in a public conversation about the artistic figure of Oskar Kokoschka and the links between him and the world of music of his time. This discussion will be moderated by Aglaja Kempf, curator of the Oskar Kokoschka Foundation.
