Dear music lovers,

Our young cellist prodigy Benjamin Kruithof has had to cancel his participation in the VSC at the very last moment. Due to a hand injury, Benjamin is unfortunately unable to perform. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Cosima Regina Federle has kindly agreed to step in and replace Benjamin Kruithof at very short notice. We are very grateful to her for accepting our invitation.

Cosima Regina Federle, a German cellist born in 2002, is the winner of numerous national and international competitions, including the 1st prize at the Domenico Gabrielli Competition Berlin 2025. She is currently pursuing her studies at the Berlin University of the Arts in the class of Professor Jens-Peter Maintz, having previously benefited from the guidance of Frans Helmerson, David Geringas, Mischa Maisky and Alfred Brendel. Her talent has already taken her to the stages of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and the Philharmonie in Berlin.

Following this change, we have slightly adapted the programme for the Concert de Midi I on May 6th and the Concert de Midi II on May 7th at the Musée Jenisch.
