Cosima Regina Federle

With concert appearances at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Gewandhaus Leipzig, and the Stadtcasino Basel, Cosima Regina Federle established herself early on as a versatile soloist and chamber musician. Further engagements have taken her to festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Dresdner Musikfestspiele, and Musique en Été in Geneva.
Born in Regensburg in 2002, the cellist has won numerous national and international competitions, most recently First Prize at the Domenico Gabrielli Competition Berlin 2025, as well as awards at the International Klaipeda David Geringas Cello Competition, the Concours International de Tremplin in Paris, the International David Popper Competition in Hungary, and the Dotzauer Competition in Dresden.
In 2023 and 2026, she was awarded scholarships from the German Music Competition and was admitted to the concert promotion program of the German Music Council. She is also a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy Liechtenstein, Villa Musica, and the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
In July 2026, she will launch and curate her first chamber music concert series as Artistic Director at Festung Ehrenbreitstein in Koblenz.
She has received important musical guidance from renowned artists including Frans Helmerson, David Geringas, Wolfgang Boettcher, Mischa Maisky, and Alfred Brendel. She began her studies at the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig with Professor Peter Bruns and has continued them since 2023 at the Berlin University of the Arts with Professor Jens-Peter Maintz.
Since 2020, Cosima Regina Federle has performed on a violoncello by Nicolas Lupot (Paris, 1821), generously loaned by the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
